This is a small pub on a drive off the road, down in a dip so away from traffic noise. Entry for dogs is through a latched side gate with a notice requesting it be closed because of possible loose dogs.
There is a cool stone-paved patio and a grassed area and all the benches have umbrellas. We were told we could take our dog into the restaurant if we wanted. Bowls were available for water and we were immediately asked if we needed any water for our dog. We were also given Bonio treats for him. So this is very dog friendly! For the humans they have a good choice on the lunch menu plus a dozen or so specials. And a couple of local real ales. Service was excellent, as was the food, and moderately priced. We will definitely go there again.
