The Wags Wellbeing Day in Tavistock Town Hall is an opportunity for owners to learn more about the physical, emotional and training needs of their dogs. In this unique event, speakers who are specialists in their field, will guide owners on a journey of discovery about the dogs in their care.
As well as the opportunity to hear these talks, there is the chance to connect to the best local and national dog related businesses and products in the marketplace.

SEMINAR LINE-UP – Seminars will last 40 minutes approx with Q/A time after each session.

11:30 – 12:15
Andrew Hale. Certified Animal Behaviourist: Rethinking naughty dogs! Does your dog bark, whine, growl or even bite? Often these behaviours are seen as the problem and something to be ‘corrected’ but Andrew will show how they represent something way more than the signs of a ‘naughty’ dog!

12:30 – 13:15
Lucy Alders. Certified Animal Behaviourist, Accredited Trainer with IMDT: Modern Dog Training. When we think about Dog training, people often talk about Obedience and how their dog must obey! Training has now moved away from obedience and is more about a dog centred, positive learning experience. In this short talk, Lucy Hopes to introduce you to a new, engaging approach to teaching your dog the life skills he/she needs, whilst maintaining a happy relationship

Jemma Norton. Certified TTouch and ACE Practioner: Canine conversations. Jemma will help you understand the importance of observations when it comes to your dog’s behaviour. She will help you decipher what it is your dog might be communicating through their body language and what you can do to let your dog know you are listening!

14:30 – 15:15
Matthew Cose. Nutritional Advisor: What are you feeding your dog? With so much choice in the dog food market, Matthew will help you understand the ingredients on your dog food. He will help you cut through the marketing and jargon and make a more informed choice as to the food you buy for you pooch.
