The site is very dog friendly being grassed over with a stream separating it from the road and parking area, but there are no gates on the small bridge over the stream so is not secure enough to let your dog off the lead. All the tables have umbrellas for shade, there is a large bowl of water kept fresh and full, but if you want water at your table you need your own bowl. There is a well equipped children’s play area, but it is not fenced off. The menu is good, there are always specials available, prices are fair and they usually have a selection of real ales on tap.
